I am an organizer, researcher, and writer. Currently, I work as a Co-Director of South Bay Youth Changemakers, a community organization in Santa Clara County that cultivates Asian-American youth power with the goal of shaping our communities to prioritize people over profit. This year I am also a fellow in the 2024 Silicon Valley New Leaders Council cohort, and a volunteer with the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee (EWOC).
I have a Masters in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, and a PhD from the Department of Anthropology at Harvard University. Over the years I have been proud to serve as an organizer in my union, HGSU-UAW Local 5118, as a reformer with the Uniting All Workers for Democracy Caucus within the UAW International, and as an organizer and advocate for Title IX reform in higher education.
My scholarship and organizing has spanned issues including caste, race, gender, healthcare, and labor. Fundamentally, I’m interested in the challenge of supporting large groups through complex processes towards defined social justice goals.
